When we decided we’d get a professional emcee for the wedding, there were only 7 days left until the wedding.

Richard was recommended by our OTD, and we got a discount because of that. We met him the day after we sent an inquiry. On that same day, because we already booked him, he helped us revise the program that we already made together with our OTD. He also helped us think of better games for the reception proper. He took notes of the changes we made and sent us a copy of the program flow the following day.

He took care of the songs to play prior to our grand entrance (and first dance). He also adjusted his spill based on our guests’ responses.

There were a few things that he forgot on the day though – 1)playing the Photo AVP before our entrance (thus the long pause before he mentioned about an AVP about to play) 2)bringing a nice mobile phone box (he used the box of the mobile phone we bought instead) to show our guests, and 3)asking R to sing instead of dance (for the garter game, we asked him to make R sing instead of dance as we just went to a wedding reception 2wks prior to our wedding where the groom danced for the garter game).

Over-all, Richard made our program lively which we would not have achieved had we asked a friend or relative to do the emcee-ing. He was able to insert a few surprise clips; and when we told him to skip the couple’s game, he did.
