We fell in love with his SDEs the first time we watched it. I (M) showed R my other option, but he quickly told me he didn't like the style of my option B. It was also R who insisted we book KMV to have the rate locked.

Thus, KMV booked: Feb 22, 2011; price-locked.

MAIN PHOTOGRAPHER: BLACKTIE PROJECT
133 Rev. Aglipay Street
Brgy. Pag-asa, Mandaluyong City
+632.534.2797

After months of searching and deciding and being turned-down by some photographers who doesn't accept 2013 weddings yet, we came across BlackTieProject. They allowed us to book 2 dates until we decide if we'll have the wedding in 2012 or 2013, and told us they will be increasing their rates "soon".

Less than a week after we booked them, they increased their rates.

AUXILIARY PHOTOGRAPHER: MY PHOTATO

+63.917.535.6277
http://myphotato.com

This is one of the items we got from the 2011 W@W Auction. The description stated that the item can be used for pre-nup, post-nup or (service only) wedding photography. M chose to avail of their wedding photography.

We got the item at a very reasonable rate (thank you W@Wies for letting us win).

PRE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: K PHOTOGRAPHY MANILA
AFTER-PARTY PHOTOGRAPHER: K PHOTOGRAPHY MANILA
+63927.309.3771
http://kphotographymanila.blogspot.com/

K Photography Manila is a W@W find - when Aleja, a co-W@Wie, offered their slot for a pre-nup shoot in Corregidor (minus OOT fees), I (M) sent her an email right away to ask total OOP costs, and inquired with Sha (the owner of K Photography Manila; and a former W@Wie) re available dates for the shoot.

In less than 24 hours, Sha has already confirmed the date for our shoot after doing a follow-up with Sun Cruises with regards to availability.

We won his pre-nup services via the W@W Auction, and we got massive savings in doing so.

The schedule and concept of the pre-nup is yet to be determined, and would highly rely on the response/s of our immediate families. :-)

FREE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: JULIUS HOMER
R's eldest brother.

His favorite subject is none other than his gorgeous son, our ring bearer.

Shoots with his Canon EOS 400D.

FREE PRE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: RUSSIELL
R's sister-in-law.

With Kuya Homer and Lowell both unavailable for our Baler shoot, Ate Russiell agreed to shoot our photos using R's Canon Kiss X 3.

FREE PRE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: JASON
R's brother.

He took shots using R's camera as well, just because photos with the Tora Bora was a  non-negotiable.
FREE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: JUNE LOWELL
R's cousin.

His shots are amazing; and I (M) told R one time that Lowell's shots are better than his.

Shoots with his Canon EOS 450D.

FREE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: JULES ALVIN
R's cousin.

Kuya Alvin learned about the pre-nup shoot the night before, and R asked him if he wanted to come. And he did, armed with his Canon EOS 450D.

FREE-NUP PHOTOGRAPHER: ZAM AGUIRRE
Tangali St.
SFDM, Quezon City
+63916.336.5792
http://zamiv.multiply.com/

M's cousin.

Kuya Zam was supposed to be our free pre-nup videographer in Corregidor, but because of budget constraints due to our wedding preps, he wasn't able to join us. So he joined our UP photoshoot instead.

We love how he captures landscape and portrait stills (aren't wedding photos landscape+portrait shots in one?); and were also considering him initially to shoot for our wedding until we both decided that we wanted to have Kuya Zam as our guest.

CATERER: K. BY CUNANAN CATERING
Sta. Cruz, Manila
+632.711.0940 / +632.710.6445
http://www.kbycunanancatering.com
http://kbycunanancatering.blogspot.com

k. by Cunanan was one of the caterer we initially blocked off our list as we were, then, in search for someone who could work within our budget.

After several months of looking for a caterer unsuccesfully, we went back to our inbox and re-read the emails we received from every single caterer we sent inquiries to. We decided to pencil-book them right away without a food-tasting, although we need to wait for the next bridal fair to officially book them so we could avail of their freebies.

GROOM'S SUIT: ONESIMUS
GROOM'S BELT: ONESIMUS
http://onesimus.com.ph

Onesimus is one of the country's best when it comes to RTW and customized suits and barongs. M's mom suggested we do check out Onesimus for R. In her words "minsan lang siya ikakasal" so the cost, according to her, will be worth it.

In all fairness to Onesimus, their suits/barongs are very affordable.

GROOM's SHOES: ROCKPORT
http://www.rockport.com/

R got his shoes whilst on sale at the SM North Department Store.

While not the usual formal shoes, it could pass up as both formal and casual.

BRIDAL GOWN: AVABRIDAL.COM
http://avabridal.com

AvaBridal was introduced by Celia, M's newly-wed co-worker. Being both brides on a budget, Celia got her wedding gown from this site, and the gown is stunning.

BRIDE's SHOES: VNC
http://www.facebook.com/vncphilippines

The shoes were a last-minute purchase after the customized shoes from the couturier (which was delivered 3 days before the wedding) did not fit.

It was M's sisters who insisted in a pink shoes after M already gave up and decided to use her 4.5-inches high I-don't-care-if-I-trip shoes.

COUTURIER: MITCH DESUNIA HAUTE COUTURE

+63917.599.3817 / +632.527.6910 / +632.720.8023
http://www.mitchdesunia.com

Mitch Desunia's August Major Major Promo has been the answer to our problems with regards to where we would have our entourage's gowns made. We sent him sketches of the designs we want for the gowns of the MOH, SS, and BM, and he gave us a very good deal. He will also make the mothers gowns, as well as gowns for FG and barong for BM and RB.

FLORIST: AMARANTHUS FLORIST
DRAPES: AMARANTHUS FLORIST

http://amaranthusflorist.com

Amaranthus gave us the lowest quote for the flowers for our entourage, and the only one who gave us a price within our allotted budget. Their original package already includes a lot of freebies but we asked for some more and they agreed.

We are also getting them for the hall drapes for which we also got a good price.

HMUA: ANA CARMENCITA LOCSIN
+63920.901.9630
http://carmielocsin.com
http://makeupcarmie.multiply.com

We booked Carmie prior to the trial make-up - that is how much we believe in her work: clean and fresh. Her rates for traditional and airbrush make-up are similar.

HMUA FOR FAMILY MEMBERS: JORELLI GRIFFIN SAN JUAN
+63917.569.7158
http://jorelligriffin.blogspot.com

Jorelli, or Jopay, is my (M) sister's college friend. Given that we're friends in Facebook, I saw her online portfolio and liked how she does her minimal make-up look. During my make-up trial with her, she already knew that I'd go for minimal make-up as well.

And because she's already like family, I'm pretty sure everyone will get along well with her.

HOST: RICHARD AGTARAP
+63917.560.7442
http://www.richardagtarap.com

Richard was recommended by our OTD Coordinator. We were supposed to have one of our relatives/friends to host our wedding reception but changed plans last minute.

After a day of SMS exchanges, we met with him, paid downpayment, and already discussed some revisions on our program.

INVITATION: WINGDINGZ
4B Lanutan Street, Veterans Village
Project 7, Quezon City
+632.881.0425 / +63922-838-4712
http://wingdingzph.com

While our invites will have a DIY layout, we need to find someone to print them. There were many invitation suppliers in the market, but we just have to find someone who not only has a low price but also has fast turn-around of the finished product. Wingdingz ticked both criteria.

PREPS VENUE: STONEHOUSE BED & BREAKFAST
1315 E. Rodriguez Ave.
Brgy. Kristong Hari, Quezon City
+632.721.4672
http://stonehouse.ph/
http://stonehousehotel.multiply.com/

Stonehouse is another W@W find. While searching for an affordable preps venue, newlyweds Chris&Ellen posted their Suppliers Ratings where I (M) saw "Stonehouse".

The staff were all accomodating. They required full payment to be able to book the rooms - early check-in was not guaranteed though.

DIY PRE-NUP and PARENTS' ALBUM: PHOTOBOOK PHILIPPINES

3 vouchers already purchased from Photobook - one of which will expire 30 April 2012 (will use that for the pre-nup album); the other 2 will expire 30 December 2015.

CAKE: HEARTS & BELLS
934 Alvarado Street
Binondo, Manila
+632.244.0255 / +63917.537.9388
http://www.heartsnbells.com/

Gourmet cakes were M's first choice when it comes to our wedding cake, but those cakes were way out of our budget.

Hearts & Bells gave us the most value-for-money quote (though not for gourmet cakes anymore), and we have already decided  to book them even before we were able to taste their cakes.

SOUNDS AND LIGHTS: REJECTKREW
+63922.874.7246
http://rejectkrew.multiply.com/

Being the 2010 W@W Wedding Supplier of the Year, we know can never go wrong with RejectKrew.

It was Kuya Homer who said Rejectkrew's equipments were far better than the other supplier we had in mind. After learning this, we immediately asked Doi if she could please meet-up with them to pay reservation fee.

PROJECTOR & SCREEN: NM DIGITAL ENTERPRISE
3097 A. Bautista Street
Sta. Ana, Manila
+63922.415.5242 / +63999.795.3498

We have been pencil-booked with Norvin for about 10weeks before we were able to meet him to pay the downpayment. The price he gave us was at par with the 2 others we were also considering.

It helped that Norvin has worked numerous times with our sounds & lights team, and he also have high praises for the works of our videographer.

ON-THE-DAY COORDINATOR: EVENTS MALDITAS
+63917.822.1722
http://eventsmalditas.blogspot.com/
http://eventsmalditas.multiply.com/

We weren't considering hiring a coordinator during the start of our wedding preparation initially, until we both realized we needed someone to look-out for everything we planned for the wedding day itself. Thus the start of scouting for OTDs which would be within our price range.

The team was born mid-2010. We met with Charisse, a former W@W herself, and explained to us in great detail the inclusions of their package. On that meeting, she already shared some tips for the wedding preps.

PHOTOBOOTH: I FLICK PHOTO BOOTH
Better Living Subdivision, Paranaque City
+632.482.8183 / +632.568.7244 / +63.917.569.8459 / +63.919.861.6638
http://iflick.ph

The photobooth is the result of M's impulsive buying.

We have been on the lookout for a photobooth supplier for almost 6months now, but we could not find someone to fit our taste and budget. Another W@W find, iFlick's photos are bright and colorful - something other photobooth suppliers fail to deliver.

We got the deal from a group buying site, beeconomic.com and after a few browses over their online gallery, we already got one voucher.

CHOREOGRAPHER: JOANNA FOZ CASTRO
https://www.facebook.com/#!/joanna.f.castro

Joanna is a W@W-find. We sent her an email less than a month before the wedding.

From reading posts about her, we learned that she adjusts her choreography to the dancing skills of her 'students'.

CHARTER FOR FAMILY: MOBELINE
2449 Syquia Street
Sta. Ana, Manila
+632.563.4134 / +632.871.4291 / +632.5628107
http://www.mobelineph.com/

We rented Mobeline for our families' transportation for the wedding. They have very reasonable rates - one of the lowest we found.

We got their 10-hour package not only for the the wedding day, but also for the day after.

LUNCH FOR PREPS: SINCERITY CAFE AND RESTAURANT
497 E.T. Yuchengco (former Nueva) Street
Binondo, Manila
+632.241.9990 / +632.241.9991
http://sincerityrestaurant.multiply.com

Sincerity Restaurant was booked a few days before the wedding.

We haven't tried Sincerity's foods but heard their fried chicken is awesome, plus they have very pocket-friendly rates for set meals.

CREW MEALS FOR DINNER: PACKED GOURMET

https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Packed-Gourmet/309225335761670

What got us sold was the double-rice serving that they offer.

We believe the cost of their meals are at par with other suppliers'.

BIBLE: ST PAULS BOOKSTORE
277 Elizabeth Street
Brisbane, Queensland
+617.3336.9236
http://www.stpauls.com.au/

At first, we did not have any idea which bible to buy. In fact, we haven't decided on anything about the bible. M wants something slightly different form the bibles we used to have.

The NRSV was what we got, not only because it was the one with the "Imprimatur" on it, but it was also one of the most aesthetically appealing bible in the shelf.

PAPER STRAWS: PARTY STARTERS
Pasig City
+63927.929.1071 / +63933.364.0865
https://www.facebook.com/#!/partystartersph

One of M's nice-to-haves, paper straws, were from Party Starters.

Their prices are lower as compared to purchasing paper straws from Australia, that was why we decided to get the straws from them.

POP ART CARTOONIST: W@W Sis ANNA
https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Save-the-Date-Cartoons/219087838107118

Anna, a co-W@Wie, offered to make cartoons for soon-to-wed couples after several posts by other W@Wies about their caricatures.

I (M) sent her an email, and told her that we need the cartoons by June 2011 in time for the Pamamanhikan - she sent me the cartoon on the 1st week of April 2011!

PERSONALIZED NAPKINS: M.R. BUCKS.COM
PO Box 6693
Pahrump, Nevada 89041
1.800.246.6877

Personalized Beverage Napkins - bought for the Pamamanhikan.

My (M) order took longer than their normal processing + shipping days; only because they ran out of the coloured napkins I want so they had to order those first. Good thing I ordered the napkins January 2011 (I received them March 2011). When I sent them an e-mail to follow-up my orders, they responded to my inquiries quickly.

Overall, they delivered.

+632.532.4050
+632.888.1.999 (for delivery)

While scouting for cheap wedding cakes, we chanced upon a cake from Goldilocks, loved its design, and have decided (with M's persistence) that we get a cake for the pamamanhikan.

WYB CARDS PRINTER: KMART
Australia Fair Shopping Centre (East Bldg)
Marine Parade, Southport, Queensland
+617.5532.9488
http://www.kmart.com.au/

Since there wasn't enough time to print & cut the WYB cards, the quickest way would be to have them printed at a photo lab - Kmart was one of the closest to the office, thus I (M) had the cards printed there.
