M knew Jopay from way back 2004(?) – she and Tini (M’s sister) belong to the same circle of friends.
Via Facebook, M learned Jopay has started doing H&MU as a sideline. After sending her an inquiry via e-mail, a trial H&MU schedule was set in time for a wedding that M was to attend. Jopay said she would bring her friend Yanyan to do the hair styling.
On the day of the trial, Jopay finished the MU first before Yanyan did the hair. Jopay already knew what M had in mind – simple. And when Yanyan asked what type of hair M wanted, his interpretation of M's description was “Maricar Reyes”.
9 hours later, M was able to show R the HMU, and he loved it. Given that the-hard-to-please R liked M’s look, we booked Jopay & Yanyan for our sisters.
A week prior to the wedding, M met with Jopay for another make-up session and told her she might be doing 8 people’s MU for our wedding. Based from this though, it seems she didn’t get my message that she'll only do 5. Sorry, Jopay.
We love how they did our sisters’ H&MU! One of R's friends had her MU done too.
