After having promised R that we'd buy our shoes together, I spotted a pair of pale pink platforms. Color: check. Comfort: check. Price: Check. I was about to put the item on lay-by, turns out the store can only keep the shoes for a maximum of 7days, but not as lay-by. In fact, that was the only store who told me they do not do lay-by, aside from factory outlets of course. So I paid for it (and no, they are NOT expensive - read: I only pay a max of $20 for clothes &/or footwear), along with 2 more pairs of shoes. The only reason why I wanted to place the items on lay-by was because I already had a lot of groceries to bring home that day, and 3 boxes of shoes = definitely bulky.
So anyway, I have been itching for the past few days to post a photo here, although because I wouldn't want some of my guests to see my would-be shoes (if ever I do decide to wear the pair come wedding day) this early, I (still) haven't. I already showed the pair to R via webcam, and he thought they were white. But no. They are a pair of pale pink platforms.
It is not a secret that I, since forever, am prone to tripping over things. Walking on flat ground doesn't necessarily mean safe for me, because I could just trip over one foot in a blink of an eye. And that has been my thoughts for the past few days everytime I open the shoe box.
I remembered telling myself early on that I would wear at most 2inches heels for my wedding shoes. And now, in front of me is a pair of 4-inch platforms. What was I thinking?
This shoes (and the 2 others) were my first purchase since I came back from holidays. They sure are comfortable to wear, but I am not certain as to how I will be able to pull-off wearing them for the duration of the wedding. I might have to practice with one of the platforms which I will use for Ler & Mai's wedding.
