When we tried their cakes for the first time, we were very pleased – the cakes were moist and yummy. That was a hit and miss, as we already booked them prior to the cake taste test.
Our first meeting was at the SM North Edsa Wedding Library. We sent them an SMS 15mins before our scheduled meet-up and were glad we did as they forgot we had a meet-up that day. Marita said she will send one of her staff to meet us there, and that he will be there in an hour.
Cesar, their cake artist, arrived some 75mins later. He thought he was there to sketch a cake for us, when in fact we went there to collect their cake samples and pay the downpayment afterwards. We did pay the downpayment after discussing their package, but since he did not bring any cupcakes, we were to come back the next day to pick them up.
The following day, we did receive the cupcakes – 3 carrot pineapple, and 3 chocolate. We loved both flavors, our moms did too. So we told them, upon learning from W@W that we can, we prefer to have both flavors for our wedding cake. We left the design to them, told them we only wanted our monogram copied if possible. Sometime between booking them and receiving the sketches, R met with them to settle the remaining downpayment and requested for a Quik and a Roxy logo as well.
We received the sketch for the cake a month before the wedding, and after a few emails and a visit to their office, we were able to come up with a design that we’re happy with.
For our cake cutting, we were lucky enough to find both flavors in that slice, so we were able to choose which flavor we’d have. We both chose carrot pineapple.
We returned the cake stand 2 days after the wedding, and not knowing they were closed on Sundays (because we did not give them a call to let them know we were coming), we had to wait for (only) 10mins as Marita sent one of her caretakers to go to their office and collect the cake stand.
We took home 6 mini cakes and several cupcakes after the wedding, and even after a few days in the fridge, the cakes were still very moist.
Package Cost: PhP 8,000 + PhP 3,000 deposit for cake stand.
Package Inclusion: 8” cutting cake, 12 mini cakes, 106 cupcakes, tags + boxes for mini cakes and cupcakes.
