CAKE FOR PAMAMANHIKAN: GOLDILOCKS

Rating Legend:
5 – highest
1 – lowest

With M’s insistence, we got a cake for our Pamamanhikan.

The initial transactions were done via e-mail. When we told them we wanted a specific design (read: our DIY monogram) on the main cake, we were told this might not be possible unless we order our cake directly from their main branch in Shaw Blvd.

We decided to just order the cake from SM North branch, so we were surprised that they rang M the day before and asked if they can remove the date in the monogram because “mali naman po yung date”. *Our monogram has our initials in the middle, and our wedding date at the bottom.

The carrot cake was good. We even split the cake into 2 after the Pamamanhikan so both families can have their share. Having said that, the fondant was too thick and too sweet (not that we expect fondant to be not too sweet). The polvoron wrapped in fondant was too tough – M’s mom and R’s sister-in-law joked that they seemed like rocks.
Package Cost: PhP 3,600.
Package Inclusion: 1 square carrot cake, 27 polvoron cakes.

R&M’s rating: 4
